Bangwaketse have blamed certain government policies and human rights groups such as Ditshwanelo for the moral decay in the Botswana society.

Speaking at a Kgotla meeting in Kanye addressed by the Presidential Commission on moral values on Saturday, most people said youngsters often engage in immoral acts with the full knowledge that they have the protection of the law.

The speakers said that often youngsters are taught their rights before being made aware of their responsibilities. They said the political leadership has deliberately sidelined bogosi saying if more powers are given to traditional leaders, things will improve. …
