BEIJING, August 20, SinoCast -- China Unicom and China Netcom are speeding up their proposed integration in a bid to get well prepared for the to-be-launched 3G business.
China Netcom and China Unicom, which were encouraged to combine with one another in the nation's telecoms industry reshuffle, have ordered their southern China operations to set up some working teams in charging of the planned merger, disclosed people in the know on August 18, 2008.
