I have been attracted by Mr Moses Byaruhanga's comment in the Daily Monitor of August 18 titled 'NSSF land deal; what really is the price of land?' He was quoted "...let us not criticise the land deal merely because the land was bought from a minister..."
First of all I don't know what Mr Byaruhanga thinks about a similar classic example of the NSSF's purchase of 843 acres of land at Nsimbe, 20km along the Kampala-Masaka highway?
Was the land as expensive? And if not, why for instance is there trouble for tycoon Isabirye Mugoya (who is not a minister) who had it at Shs 8.2b.That price was subsequently discovered to have …
