[Presenter] The tripartite meeting between Turkey, Pakistan and Afghanistan aimed at mediating between Islamabad and Kabul by Ankara commenced on Thursday [30 October] in Istanbul.

[Correspondent] President Hamed Karzai, Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani and Turkish Prime Minister [Recep] Tayyip Erdogan met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum's "Europe and Central Asia" meeting in Istanbul.
