THE election of the Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom scheduled to take place today is in balance.

The kingdom information minister, Michael Kifubangabo, yesterday said the elections would go ahead as planned, in spite of the order issued by the Constitutional Court stopping the exercise.

Kifubangabo said the kingdom had not been served with the order formally.

Earlier, before the court order was issued, the Issabalangira (chief prince), David Kaunhe, also said the election of a new Kyabazinga would go on regardless of attempts by some chiefs to block it.
