Two private secondary schools in Bushenyi district were on Tuesday closed over conflicts between students.

The schools are Trinity vocational and Kyeitembe vocational secondary schools.

All students were ordered by the Police to leave the schools on Tuesday, apart from the Senior Four students, who were allowed to remain and finish their O'Level examinations.

The district Police commander, Jimmy Oyuku, said the directive to close the two schools came from the district education officer (DEO), Norman Lukum.

He said the moved followed persistent fights between the students of the two schools.
