from BUSINESS LINE, October 31, 2008 New Delhi, Oct 30 - Amid growing concern over climate change, the UN Secretary-General, Mr Ban Ki-moon, has called for the need to develop a strong tri-lateral partnership comprising the UN, corporate sector and the civil society to tackle environmental issues.

Mr Ban, who arrived in New Delhi on Thursday on a two-day official visit, said private sector will need to play a prominent role by coming up with economically viable solutions to harness eco-friendly technologies and make it commercially viable.
