from BUSINESS LINE, October 31, 2008 Kottayam, Oct. 30 - The physical rubber prices improved on Thursday. Sharp gains in the Japanese rubber futures kept the domestic market firm amidst covering purchases.

RSS 4 improved to Rs 88.50 from Rs 88 a kg on Wednesday. The trend was mixed. Rubber futures on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange opened higher following gains in oil futures. Prices moved up later in the morning session reflecting oil futures' strong performance.
