Statesman News Service JALPAIGURI, Oct. 30: Security has increased in Jalpaiguri district following the serial bomb blasts in Assam today. Police and SSB (Sima Suraksha Bal) are keeping a joint vigilance along the Bangladesh border. The superintendent of police, Jalpaiguri, Mr Manoj Varma said the police had been instructed to keep round the clock vigilance over important public places in the district. Dog squads and handheld metal detectors have been put into operation at several bus and taxi stands in the district.
