Thailand: Diageo Moet Hennessy revitalizes deluxe whisky market.

Section: Business News - Diageo Moet Hennessy (Thailand) Ltd is injecting a marketing budget of Bt100 million to revitalise the super deluxe whisky market with the introduction of Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve, The Nation reports.

Zanita Kajiji, marketing vice president for the Johnnie Walker importer and distributor, said recently that the company sees good potential for super deluxe Scotch whisky in the Thai market. The new product, replacing Gold Label, is launched here as the second country in the world after Vietnam, targeting mainly men aged 30-40.

While Gold Label is priced at Bt2,800, the new product is priced at Bt1,495.
