Maya was only eight years old. She was dark and also very thin. Through the numerous holes, her torn and tattered frock revealed scar marks all over her body. When she was five years old, her father had sold her to the Basufamily, and since then she had stayed with them as a maid-servant. Behind her unkempt hair however, one would find her large, dark dreamy eyes, lost in some other world, far away from the four walls of the flat she was caged in. Her eyes searched for friends, but she could find none. She was never allowed to leave the flat as she might run away. But, this little girl still made a friend.
