A recent study on Aid Effectiveness and Gender Equality by European Commission (EC) and the United Nations (UN) has recommended the consistency of data on aid flows published in a simple and accessible manner.
The study found that the data on aid flows reported by donors often contradicted the data provided by government on aid flows. Consequently, donors need to improve their methods of reporting aid to the government, while government in turn has to develop data collection in that regard.
They have come together to assess the impact of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness on Gender Equality in 12 pilot countries, including Ghana.
