Section: General News - The Government of Japan, under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme (GGP), is providing funds amounting to 1,735,000 baht for a project entitled Improving Medical Service for hill tribe people in remote areas in Mae Hong Son Province. On October 28, 2008, Mrs. Junko Yokota, Consul-General of Japan in Chiang Mai and Dr. Jakree Komsakorn, Director of Sopmoei Hospital, jointly signed the funding contract for the project at the Consulate-General of Japan in Chiang Mai.
