Philippines: Financial crisis will not affect Philippines-US cooperation, says US envoy.

Section: General News - United States Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney expressed belief the cooperation between the Philippines and American forces will continue despite the global economic slowdown.

Kenney led the inauguration of a classroom built by soldiers participating in the annual Talon Vision and Amphibious Landing Exercise (Phiblex) in the far-flung Bagong Barrio Elementary School in this town Sunday.

Asked if such activities would continue amid feared global financial crisis, Kenney cited the disasters where Filipino and American soldiers have worked together in pursuing the interest of the victims.
