Muhwezi Rejects Mbabazi Defence.

MAJOR General Jim Muhwezi, Theodore Ssekikubo and Henry Banyenzaki yesterday said they did not accept security minister Amama Mbabazi's explanation on the NSSF land deal.

This was in response to what chief whip Kabakumba Masiko told journalists on Tuesday that the NRM caucus had accepted Mbabazi's explanation as satisfactory.

Kabakumba, however, added that the caucus would wait for the outcome of the parliamentary committee which is investigating the matter.

Muhwezi, Ssekikubo and Banyenzaki (all NRM) attended the caucus meeting which heard Mbabazi's defence.

Addressing a press conference at Parliament, Muhwezi demanded that Kabakumba retracts the statement.
