A Portland blood products technology company headed by former Oregon Graduate Institute President Dwight Sangrey is on the cusp of potential joint venture deals in India and China.
The 2-year-old Fraction Biologies LLC wants to transfer technology related to collection and separation of blood plasma, which has a variety of therapeutic uses. Although the technology has long been available in the United States and other developed nations, the process and expensive plasma products aren't available or affordable in lesser-developed nations such as China.
