Workers Want NSSF Board Fired By End Next Week.

Workers representatives have given the Minister of Finance, Dr Ezra Suruma, an ultimatum of two weeks within which to sack the entire National Social Security Fund board or risk strikes all over the country.

The ultimatum was issued on Friday as Dr Suruma met the workers representatives from the National Organisation of Trade Unions (Notu) and the Confederation of Free Trade Union (Cotu) to discuss the crisis facing the Fund.

The workers want the board's head, Mr Edward Gaamua, and top management under Mr David Chandi Jamwa to resign following the handling of two multi billion investment projects and a Shs31 billion out-of …
