A WOMAN AND HER DAUGHter held on to each other for dear life but did not escape death as flames engulfed their house in Quezon City before noon yesterday.
Fire investigator SFO1 Maurico Alde said they found the charred remains of Edita Estadula, 80, and her daughter, Rosario, 50, in a tight embrace after putting out the fire that swept the two-story house on Pasaje de la Paz Street, Proj. 4, Quezon City.
Alde said the fire broke out at around 11:50 a.m. and was under control one and a half hours later.
