Voter turnout up by around 3 per cent-points across country
With almost all the results counted (97.6 per cent), the results of the municipal elections held across Finland are as follows, with the figures for 2004 in parentheses:
National Coalition Party [Conservative Party] 23.4 per cent (21.8 per cent)
SDP 21.2 per cent (24.1 per cent)
Centre Party 20.2 per cent (22.8 per cent)
Greens 8.9 per cent (7.4 per cent)
Left Alliance 8.8 per cent (9.5 per cent)
True Finns 5.4 per cent (0.9 per cent)
Swedish People's Party 4.7 per cent (5.2 per cent)
