Bishop Mukwaya Buried in Church.

HUNDREDS of mourners yesterday thronged Kiyinda-Mityana Cathedral for the burial of Bishop Joseph Mukwaya. Mukwaya, 78, was the former bishop of Mityana Diocese. He died of the cancer of the bones last Thursday.

Mukwaya was buried inside St. Noa's Church, a few metres away from the cathedral.

Ministers Nyombi Thembo (Luweero Triangle) represented President Yoweri Museveni, while state minister James Baba (Vice-President's Office) represented his boss, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya.

Prior to the burial, a requiem mass was conducted by the bishop of the diocese, Joseph Anthony Zziwa.
