Oct. 24--The play November will make you chuckle. Oh yes, that it can do. You will even elbow-nudge your neighbor smiling broadly and genuinely as one of the David Mamet's lines lands like a dart.
But if it's basso profundo laughs from the gut you want, expect the confident GableStage at the Biltmore production to graze the funny bone, not slap it silly. At least not yet. The run until Nov. 16 may remedy that as the five-member cast settles into some rhythms and nuances with Mamet's signature...um...muscular dialogue; enunciating the expletives with cold precision takes all the heat away.
