Oct. 23--If the long lines at Broward County's 17 early voting sites have you thinking about casting an absentee ballot, you can request one through Wednesday. The ballots then can be mailed back or taken to one of the county's elections offices. To receive a ballot, call 954-357-7055; fax 954-357-7033; or go to one of the elections offices and submit an application in person. An absentee ballot also may be obtainedby e-mailing elections@browardsoe.org or by going to www.browardsoe.org/AbsenteeRequest2.aspx. Include name, date of birth and mailing address.
