Local Government State Minister Hope Mwesigye yesterday admitted sending messages to some of the MPs investigating the controversial sale of land at Temangalo to the NSSF, urging them to help out Security Minister Amama Mbabazi.
Ms Mwesigye said her message was meant to appeal to workers' MPs to protect Mr Mbabazi from some MPs who were taking advantage to politicise the matter. "I was saying, look at the issue without politicising it," she said.
"I wanted the workers' MPs to help out by disengaging the NSSF issues from politics," said Ms Mwesigye, also a sister-in-law to Mr Mbabazi.
