Thailand: TMB Asset Management chief says hedge funds not to blame for financial crisis.

Hedge funds once again are coming under increased regulatory scrutiny around the world for their role in potentially adding to instability in the global financial markets.

But Jotika Savanananda, the managing director of TMB Asset Management, said putting the blame for the latest meltdown in the markets on hedge funds was misplaced.

"Hedge funds are often blamed as the 'bad guy' and the cause of financial crises over the past decade," she said.
