Ukrainian premier urges parliament to pass crisis prevention bill.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko has called on the Supreme Council (parliament) to pass the cabinet's draft law on preventing negative consequences of the global financial crisis as soon as possible since it is a prerequisite for Ukraine's getting financial aid from international organizations.

Tymoshenko was speaking at a news conference after an early morning cabinet meeting on 22 October. The news conference was broadcast live by the national UT1 TV and the private TV channel 5 Kanal.
