The Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group (PASG) yesterday warned of the possibility that animal feeds are being used as ingredients for food products.
In a statement, PASG head Undersecretary Antonio A. Villar, Jr. said his agency raided last week a warehouse in Bocaue, Bulacan province, that processes animal feeds into supposed powdered milk intended for human consumption.
He said the Bocaue raid "may just be the tip of the iceberg that may have long been endangering public health."
