PUTRAJAYA: Weeks after its official launch, Business Licensing Electronic Support System (Bless) has begun to make its presence felt in the country.

Bless, in its first phase after the Sept 5 launch by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, has managed to reduce the length of time taken for licence applications in the manufacturing sector.

With the increased efficiency enabled by the one-stop website aimed at streamlining and monitoring the process of business licence applications, new businesses now need to get only 78 licences from 75 agencies, including local authorities, to get started.
