Middle East - Saudi Arabia, UAE lead growth in Gulf IT spending.
Saudi Arabia is projected to spend USD 3.76 billion on IT this year, an increase of over 11 percent compared to USD 3.38 billion in 2007. The UAE, the second-largest IT market in the region, is expected to spend USD 2.99 billion this year, up from USD 2.66 billion last year, according to a study by IDC.
