Business revives call for lower electricity rates.

LOCAL BUSINESS CHAMBERS are renewing the drive to bring down electricity rates, saying this remained the key issue in achieving global competitiveness and lowering the cost of doing business in the country.

Donald G. Dee, chair emeritus of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the group was pushing for several measures, including the reduction of generation and distribution charges.
