Section: General News - The Ministry of Public Health expedites the drafting of ministerial regulations to control dairy products and food sold in Thailand to prevent melamine contamination exceeding the amount set by the ministry.

Deputy Permanent Secretary for Public Health, Md.Phiphat Yingseri, says he has assigned the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and relevant units to jointly draft ministerial regulations together in line with the Food Act to ban dairy products and other food products which have melamine of exceeding 1 milligram and 2.5 milligrams per kilogram respectively.
