Oct. 19--Hollywood city officials attempted to allay concerns of angry residents who met recently to hear updates on planned construction at Lincoln Park.
The "Save Our Park" meeting, hosted by the North Central Civic Association at the Fred Lippman Multi-Purpose Center, drew a room full of neighbors who questioned officials on progress of the project.
At times it proved to be a contentious scene.
"Every time there's a deal in Hollywood, I can smell a host of rats," said resident Asa Boynton.
Last year, city officials entered a joint agreement with the School Board to renovate the park at 2340 Lincoln St.
