from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Share prices on Bursa Malaysia opened lower in early trading today with the composite index remaining below the 1,000- points level on concerns over adverse global economic developments coupled with lower crude oil and palm oil prices, dealers said.

At 9.15am, the benchmark Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) declined 16.30 points to 980.54, after opening 8.59 points to 988.25. On September 18, the CI closed at 991.66 points, the lowest since June 2005 and the intra-day low was 963.29.
