WASHINGTON

WASHINGTON--The U.S. government is expected to seek about 300 million dollars from Congress to support North Korea's disarmament process for a year now that the two countries have agreed on the method for verifying Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program, The Yomiuri Shimbun has learned.

The amount being sought is estimated to exceed 300 million dollars for the current U.S. fiscal year ending September 2009.
