from ANTARA, The Indonesian National News Agency Jakarta, Oct 15 (ANTARA) - Several Indonesian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) blamed the World Bank for the current global financial ciris, an activist said here Wednesday.

The NGOs include the Anti-Debt Coalition (KAU), the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (WALHI), the Indonesian Farmers Association, Women's Solidarity, and the Civil Society Forum on Climate Change.

An activist of one of the NGOs, Devie R Ayu, said that debts from the World Bank were used to finance industries extracting resources such as coal, oil and gas, contributing to climate change.
