In a sense, Ann Lagos hasn't really gone anywhere in her career as a jewelry designer.
She began creating her sweeping, fluted bracelets, necklaces and earrings in her apartment at 17th and Delancy streets in Center City. Two decades later, she finds herself almost exactly where she started, a couple blocks north on 17th Street.
But things have changed. She's no longer Ann King Design, and instead of being self-employed, she and her husband, Steven Lagos, oversee a staff of 75.
The company has both a manufacturing operation, which will nearly double its office space by year's end, and a boutique retail store.
