Pediped is showing some school spirit with a special-edition soft-soled baby shoe (at left) featuring the Penn State University Nittany Lions logo. The navy-and-white shoe, which retails for $35, was inspired by the Henderson, Nev.-based footwear company's COO, Rudy Glocker, who was a member of PSU's varsity football team from 1989 to 1992. To promote the shoe, Pediped created a print ad featuring a little boy dressed to look like legendary Lions football coach Joe Paterno -- complete with his trademark rolled-up pants.
