RAYNAL: This is a hell of a good competitor to the GM Lambda line of SUVs, as well as to the Honda Pilot, and it's way better-looking. The Mazda's ride and handling are Mazda 6 good, since this is a longer version of that platformit's a buttoned-up ride that doesn't lean too much in the corners. The steering also is good, and the seats felt fine over longish hauls I took over the weekend. The V6 is smooth, and so is the transmission.
The third row is actually big enough for adults to ride in for short stints, though the dash could use a materials upgrade. I didn't dig the navigation system much, but there are few on the market that I actually like.
From top to bottom, Mazda just might have the best lineup in the business ...
