* The Dial Corp announced net income for the second quarter ended June 30 of $14 million, or 15 cents per share, after deducting one-time costs of $16 million, or 18 cents per share, for the company's planned spinoff of its consumer products division.

Dial's second-quarter revenue of $951 million was up 9.3 percent from the $870 million it reported for second-quarter 1995.

There were 2.6 million more shares of Dial stock outstanding in second-quarter 1996 than in second-quarter 1995, due primarily to issuances related to employee-benefits and dividend-reinvestment plans, company officials said.
