Cisco Systems Inc. this week will launch a new stackable switch, called the Catalyst 3200, that provides a highly integrated package for remote access.

The switch is an extension to the Catalyst 3000 family that offers a more flexible choice of network configurations and WAN connectivity support through an optional routing module.

The Catalyst 3200, priced from $4,995, is a chassis-based switch with seven slots for any combination of network modules.

It supports Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, 100VG-AnyLAN, and Asynchronous Transfer Mode connectivity and is designed to integrate remote offices into corporate networks.
