Sep. 30--Declining home values have Palm Beach County commissioners contemplating changing affordable housing rules imposed on developers during the real estate boom. Lowering the targeted price range and altering perks for developers who build reduced-price homes were among possibilities county commissioners discussed on Monday. County officials plan to meet with banking and builder representatives and then at a Jan. 27 meeting lay out options for the commission to update the program.
