Netscape Communications Corp. will begin migrating elements of its Navigator Gold HTML publishing tool and browser to the company's standard Navigator client, in a bid to extend Navigator's intranet capabilities.
Netscape has been positioning its standard Navigator browser as the client for intranets, while Gold has been positioned as a product for network managers and Webmasters. However, the company plans to extend its publishing and collaborative capabilities inside the firewall by adding Gold features to Navigator.
