I just picked up a Spire 405-watt power supply. My old Asus P4P800 Deluxe motherboard has only a 20-pin connection port, but the power supply's power connector has 24 pins. What do I need to do? I just want to get my older P4 rig going again.

This 20- or 24-pin connector is the main power feed from your PC's power supply to your motherboard. The four additional pins provide extra power for the PCI Express slot on the motherboard; on some power supplies, you can snap these extra pins off the connector if the motherboard doesn't require them or has a separate jack for them.
