Move over, liquid cooling. There's a new way to chill your computer-and it's inspired by the icebox in your kitchen.
Purdue University researchers are working on a miniature refrigeration system small enough to fit inside PCs (including laptops) and able to provide far superior cooling than current solutions. Like the large refrigerators we use to store our food, this system features compressors and evaporators-except that these are microscopic.
