All-cargo carrier sees new service as link with routes to Asia, South America, Mideast, India.

Polar Air sees its new scheduled U.S.-Europe service as a stepping stone to a global air-cargo capability.

By this summer, Polar plans to extend its European service to the Mideast and India, in addition to the carrier's already-extensive routes to the Far East and South America.

This service goes far beyond traditional transatlantic air cargo service between the U.S. and Europe," said Edwin H. "Ned" Wallace, Polar's chief executive officer. "We're responding to the growing expectations of forwarders and agents that an air carrier provide a global all-cargo network."
