Pattern recognition of significant snowfall events in Tallahassee, Florida.(Report)
Skew-T Log-P diagrams, surface, and standard level upper air charts from four significant snowfall events in Tallahassee, Florida are analyzed. One of these cases is discussed in detail to illustrate the common synoptic patterns associated with these rare occurrences. Since 1895, there have been only seven snowfall events in Tallahassee when measurable snowfall (i.e., accumulations of 0.1 inches or more) were reported. Most of these occurred in February.
