Aug. 18--The 21-year-old man who shot at a Boynton Beach police officer Sunday afternoon has been out of prison less than two months and has an arrest record stretching back to age 11, Boynton Beach Police Chief Matthew Immler said during a Monday morning news conference. Tarvis Merrell Wilson, who listed a Boca Raton address, fired three times at Boynton Beach police Sgt. Richard McNevin, after McNevin tried to grab Wilson following a two-county police chase that ended in Delray Beach, Immler said. McNevin, 37, was hit once in the bulletproof vest and didn't suffer any serious injuries. He was released from the hospital Monday morning. …
