"Partnership" - the latest buzzword among the vendors of information technology - is a term tough-minded data center managers sometimes resist.
While some vendors reach the rarefied status of partner, according to Dave Deluhery, Manager of Computing Services at Nike Corporation's mega-data-center in Portland, Oregon, "others just stay vendors. And I'm the one who will say who my partners are."
