In our story on new products from Creo (see Vol. 25, No. 15, p. 4), we compared its Renaissance scanner with the closest competitive machine on the market, the Eskofot 2636. Using figures supplied by Creo as well as previously published information, we said that the Renaissance was four times faster than the 2636 and slightly more than twice as expensive ($360,000 vs. $175,000).
