Various: The Top Of The Pops Collection (EMI Gold 2280872)
Bringing together individual releases spanning 1964-2006 to commemorate the BBC's long-running chart show Top Of The Pops, this 43-CD box set is very impressive, housing 875 tracks, of which 600 made the Top 10 and more than 150 reached number one. Each album is packaged with contemporaneous cover pictures and contains a 12-page booklet, with Dave McAleer's liner notes adding a flavour of the time.

Their two 1986 albums Enjoy and Up Against It are combined together onto one CD, and are full of succinct stories and keen observations.

All appear on this expanded version of the soundtrack album, alongside the jazzier sophistication of Julie London's Cry Me A River and five bonus tracks.
