Completely Ignoring Her During a Game
Even if it's the World Series, you're still hot allowed to tune her out. "'Ignoring her implies that she's less important than a game," says California psychotherapist Tina Tessina, PhD. Instead, acknowledge her with "I'm so sorry, but can we talk at the next commercial?" Setting a concrete time shows that you're not dismissing her and leaves you free to wave your gigantic foam hand at the TV.
